Girl Scout connection FAQ
Troops, service units and councils have all planned trips with us. In fact, we have even had groups of alumnae travel on our tours. Who you invite to join your group is up to you, but whatever kind of group you put together, at least one adult must be designated as the Group Leader.
Yes, Girl Scout adults and alumnae are welcome to plan an adult or alumnae trip, travel on one of EF’s alumnae trips for Girl Scouts, or travel as part of a group with other troops.

and is the official umbrella organization for all Girl Guide and Girl Scout Organizations in the world. It’s a worldwide movement that seeks to engage and empower millions of girls and young women, offering them opportunities to meet with their peers around the world.
The goal of Global Girl Scouting
is to encourage global awareness within the Girl Scout movement to share international opportunities available to girls and inspire them to take action. Global Girl Scouting is a division of Girl Scouts of the USA
The four World Centres—Sangam
in India, Our Chalet
in Switzerland, Pax Lodge
in the United Kingdom, and Our Cabaña
in Mexico—belong to the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). They provide a place where Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from across the globe can meet girls from other countries and learn about the movement.
Yes, many of our trips include visits to the World Centres
, and we're happy to arrange special Girl Scout activities and pinning ceremonies for you while you're there.
No, if a visit to a World Centre or The Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace
is included on your trip itinerary, we will make arrangements and confirm the visit for your troop.
Although EF does not have any dress code requirements, many girls choose to wear their Girl Scout uniform or vest while visiting the World Centres.
Many Girl Scouts choose to bring SWAPS to trade with other girls who they meet while visiting the World Centres.
